About Us

Parragon Publishing India started operations in June 2006 with a limited range of titles on launch and over the last decade, we have worked to develop exciting new genres and titles, while successfully diversifying into multi-channel distribution. The Parragon Team has aimed to increase its depth and width of distribution to reach out to smaller towns in the country and make books available at affordable prices to children. Today, Parragon India has a wide range of books across 4 main categories: Kids, Lifestyle and Reference, Cookery, and Novelty as Parragon Generic books.

We are also the leading licensee for Disney in the Indian subcontinent, with major characters like ‘Winnie the Pooh’, ‘Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, as well as blockbusters franchises like ‘Frozen’, Disney Pixar’s ‘Cars’ and many more. In addition, we also have key licenses for Marvel, Nickelodeon, and Mattel. In June 2018, Igloo Books, the mass-market division of Bonnier Books UK, formed a strategic marketing and distribution alliance with Parragon Publishing India for the region consisting of the Indian subcontinent. We continue to build sales with key publishers and customers like Scholastic India and many more.

With a strong focus on the visually stimulating elements of books by means of using illustrations, images, and graphics, our team believes in the ability of books to tell a story. By retaining the copyright to all its generic content, Parragon stands out as the only publishing enterprise within the industry that aims to create and curate through original works and titles. We maintain an active base of 750-800 titles at any point in time and also have a very strong backlist of both generic and licensed titles. Our team is highly motivated towards bringing only the best selection of books which are both diverse and regionally sensitive. We aim towards breaking linguistic barriers through production of translated titles in many native and international languages across all book categories.
